Review: ASF’s ‘Timon’ premiere superb

The Alabama Shakespeare Festival world premiere production of “Timon of Athens” is brilliant.
To know how brilliant, you have to know a little about “Timon of Athens.”
Not to say it is Shakespeare’s worst play, but for more than a century scholars have argued over whether key parts were accidentally left out, or whether an emergency involving another play caused Shakespeare to substitute an unfinished version to be published.
