Romeo and Juliet – Breaking Wave Theatre Company

Breaking Wave Theatre Company takes on Shakespeare's most famous tragicomedy: Romeo and Juliet. A story about two young lovers caught in the crossfire of their feuding families, BWTC sets this classic tale in modern-day Guam.

Julius Caesar – ACT Out Tour

We have just been through one of the most tumultuous election seasons in recent memory—including violence, polarization, and real-life reminders of how voters can change their minds based on rhetoric and communication strategies. Against this backdrop, the A.C.T. OUT Tour’s production of Julius Caesar will ask: When do political figures become dangerous to democracy? Is an assassination ever justifiable? How can deeply polarized societies avoid civil war? Julius Caesar contains some of the most memorable language in Shakespeare, not to mention detailed characterizations and deep explorations of human relationships. Shishir Kurup’s translation preserves all of Shakespeare’s magnificent rhetoric while making obscure humor and historical references more accessible. Seven dynamic actors bring this story to life in a tight 90-minute adaptation, performed in the round with exciting audience interactions.

The Winter’s Tale – Skylight Theatre Company

A tyrannical ruler, consumed by delusion, defies the law of Apollo and plunges his kingdom into darkness. Amidst the terror that ensues, a Princess emerges, wielding extraordinary power to heal the land and its people. “It is required you do awake your faith!” cries Paulina, the witch, as the dead return to life in this magical tale of hope and forgiveness.

Experience Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, reimagined in a vibrant, accessible new modern English translation translation by Tracy Young.

Julius Caesar (Tour) – Shakespeare by the Sea

Loyalties are tested in Shakespeare’s exploration of the definition of honor, the agony of decision, and the cost of crossing the point of no return.
