Testimonials
"I have not only learned a lot about Twelfth Night, but also how to look at a Shakespeare text, making meaning from it, and then translate that knowledge into a performance."
- Student, Ashland High School
"In this Play On Shakespeare experience, I learned a lot about what Twelfth Night actually is. I remember seeing a production when I was younger, and everything went completely over my head. Being able to know what the actual story is, and how funny it really is, was interesting. I learned a lot about Shakespeare as a whole and feel like I have more of an appreciation for his work."

Workshops

Pre-Production Workshops
Level up your production!
The pre-production workshops are curated for theater practitioners. These workshops examine the facts of the WHOLE play—beat-by-beat, measure by measure—providing a deep analysis of Shakespeare’s text with facilitated conversations about production needs for the play.
These workshops range from 1-day to 4-days.
Teacher Training Workshops
Deepen your students’ understanding of Shakespeare.
These workshops introduce technical training and professional development opportunities for educators and teaching artists of theater. Educators and Teaching Artists are introduced to an analysis exercise we call “charting,” which examines the thematic timeline of a Shakespeare play. Additional exercises examine Shakespeare’s language in translation for both individual and classroom use.
These tailor-made workshops adapt to the needs of Educators and Teaching Artists, and are held 3 times a year in various locations.

Try it in Translation Workshops
