Armando Huipe

Armando Huipe is the Interim Managing Director of the Latino Theater Company, which operates the Los Angeles Theatre Center (LATC). Before joining the Latino Theater Company, Huipe was the Executive Director of Skylight Theatre Company, where he helped guide the board and staff through reopening after the pandemic and a founding leadership transition. He has also served as a producer for the national Latinx Theatre Commons, where he led organizing efforts to increase the visibility and capitalization of Latinx theaters across the country. He has worked with other companies such as REDCAT, Center Theatre Group, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the LA Phil, Yale Cabaret, and United States Artists. He currently serves on the governing board of the Los Feliz Neighborhood Council and chairs its Business Committee. He earned an MFA in Theater Management from Yale School of Drama and a BA in English Literature from UCLA.
