Mantra (she/any) is a playwright, comedian, and director from Bangalore, India, and based in Chicago. She is a graduate of Northwestern University with a degree in Theatre (Playwriting) and Economics. In addition to her role with Play On Shakespeare, she is also part of the Development team at Lookingglass Theatre, and is occasionally a Teaching Artist for Chicago Children’s Theatre and Steppenwolf Theatre.

Outside of work, you can find her performing and writing theatre. Outside of the theatre, you can find her painting album covers, traveling, and swimming in the lake. Outside of that, you can’t find her.
